Where does my data go?

It stays in your browser via chrome.storage.local. ClipCite has no server of its own. Content you clip is never transmitted to ClipCite. The only outbound requests are to Crossref (if a DOI is present), Notion (only when you explicitly send), and ExtensionPay (to verify Pro status).

Which browsers are supported?

Chrome and Microsoft Edge — any Chromium-based browser that supports extensions.

How does the citation work?

ClipCite reads the page's meta tags (title, author, date, URL). If a DOI is detected, it queries the Crossref API or doi.org for accurate metadata. The result is a ready-to-use BibTeX citation (APA on Pro). Only the DOI string is sent — no page content.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Monthly and annual plans cancel any time through ExtensionPay. No long-term contracts.

Which languages are supported?
